The leading global electric vehicles distributor, STAR EV, will be at BTME for the first time.
Bringing a selection of the award-winning range of lithium-ion phosphate battery-powered passenger and utility vehicles to the show is UK distributor Reesink UK.
Dave French at Reesink UK, says: “With STAR EV most have lithium-ion batteries, others have sealed gel; all are maintenance-free. All the vehicles incorporate on-board charging, meaning no expensive infrastructure outlay, with charge times from as little as three hours. Switching to electric for utility has never been more appealing.”
There’s so much choice within the range, including passenger vehicles for up to 23 people and small, medium and large capacity electric UTVs, alongside the option to configure vehicles to the exact requirements for the job. The Capella utility series for example, has eight different standard configurations, offering pay loads from 150Kg to 670Kg and carrying up to four people as well as cargo.
From the Capella range and at BTME will be the latest plug-in electric utility vehicles for the UK market, the Capella Work Machine and Capella 48-2-H. Both are purposefully designed to help move people and equipment around quietly, safely and efficiently.
The Capella Work Machine is powered by a 48v 5Kw motor, which comes with a 10Kw high powered lithium-ion battery charged via an on-board Lester charger. With a 450A AC Curtis controller and direct drive, the Work Machine offers a range up to 60 miles of travel going at a maximum speed of 20mph for the ultimate productivity from an electric work horse. Plus, it has a climbing ability of 20 percent, meaning it’s just as good on the hills as it is on the flat.
The Capella 48-2-H is a compact, entry-level, all-terrain utility load carrier for light work in many applications from turf to tarmac. The power source is a 5Kw lithium-ion battery which is charged on-board. It can carry up to 150Kg in an aluminium cargo box and two passengers.
Just like the entire range, there’s no expensive infrastructure costs attached, simply plug in and get charging. And if that weren’t enough, there’s an extensive warranty too – up to six years on batteries, plus the lithium-ion batteries operate on 100 percent full power until discharge with no decline in performance.
There’s a new STAR at BTME and it’s on stand 420.
